Newcomers - Welcome home to St. Thomas Episcopal Church!

St Thomas welcomes everyone to share in the inspiration and joy of worship. It is our hope to make everyone feel at home whether a visitor, a new member or an established member.

We especially want to help visitors and new members find a sense of belonging in our parish community.

  • OUR WORSHIP SERVICE IS EASY TO FOLLOW
    St. Thomas worships in the Episcopal/Anglican tradition. We use the Book of Common Prayer, available in each pew, as our guide to worship. Our service is called a “Eucharist” during it we sing hymns, pray, listen to a message from the pastor, and celebrate the Lord’s Supper. Services typically last just over an hour

  • BAPTIZED CHRISTIANS ARE WELCOME TO RECEIVE THE EUCHARIST
    If you are baptized you are welcome to receive Holy Communion regardless of your current denomination. Those receiving the Eucharist simply come to the communion rail and kneel or stand to receive. Some of us eat the wafer or bread and then sip from the chalice. Others dip the wafer or bread into the chalice before consuming it. Either practice is acceptable

  • DRESS UP IF YOU LIKE, BUT WE'RE PRETTY INFORMAL
    Some of us wear a tie or a dress but many of us wear casual slacks and shirts. We come to worship the Lord!

  • DONATIONS FROM VISITORS ARE OPTIONAL
    You can put money in the offering plate if you want but we don’t expect it from visitors. Our members support the operations of the church for the benefit of all believers and all seekers

  • HAVE A CUP OF COFFEE WITH US
    We always enjoy a little coffee, tea and fellowship after the service on Sunday and we love to have visitors and newcomers join us. Come by and say hello. There are no strings attached
